Nice clean lobby, quick service, great price on synthetic oil and 30 minute oil changes. I also like the fact they don't haggle you, don't want a service done that's fine. Since my apartment complex won't let me change my oil, like Arnold "I'll be back".

After reading some reviews about high wait time I called Quality Tune-Up and asked how long it would take to get my car smogged if I went in within 10 minutes of calling. They said 20 minutes and gave me the exact dollar amount. The smog test took exactly 20 minutes and was the quoted amount plus the price of a necessary part for my car to pass the test the second time. Mike was very friendly. Edit: I went in today (a Monday) at 2pm.

Apparently most smog check places do not open on Sundays so I was very happy to find Quality Tune-up was open! The lady working there was really helpful and gave an estimate of 2 hours. They finished in about 1.5 hours with no issues. They have a small clean waiting area or you could wander the nearby shops in the area while you wait.

Clean new office, super friendly staff, and speedy service. We have been going here for our cars' various services for years now and pleasantly enjoy the experiences. Follow up calls actually happened! I've never had this kind of customer attention from an auto shop before and really appreciate it. Thanks!

Great service - over and beyond what they "have" to do. I dropped in for a smog check and they got me in right away. When I got my car back, they warned me that it seemed to be stalling a lot and I should get the idle checked.(it did pass the smog test) I tried to drive away, and the car kept dying any time we idled, so I drove back and said "it ran fine, until you did the smog check." They assured me nothing they had done caused the stalling problem but looked into it right away. As I watched, I could see they were doing a lot more than just anything the smog check might have changed. He took over 15 minutes, then gave the car a test drive and returned it working great. Refused my offer to pay extra. I do not understand why this idle problem came up, but the car is working fine now and I believe its due to some extra clean up of old gunk around related parts. Calm and professional staff that really took my concern seriously (but not getting defensive or trying to "fight") So I left savoring the extra care this place provided. THANKS SO MUCH!! Diane

Gave me extra re-tests due to technicality. Overall quick to get the job done. Wait times depend on how busy they are, so have some sense and go at a good time (5-6pm weekdays). Cheaper smog test than other locations (40$) with free re-tests. They don't try to nickle and dime you.

I've been bringing my cars to be serviced here since 2004. Mike the general manager is an honest guy and does an excellent job. He won't try to bring up the bill for minor fixes and he has worked on all my cars over the years as well as my moms. I always know I'm getting the best price and quality work. I've never had an issue with his work but know that he would gladly fix it if there ever was one. I honestly won't bring any car of mine to any other mechanic and even drove the hour to get here when I moved away. I highly recommend this place! Craig is really good too and all the guys have great customer service but Mike is the number one reason I tell everyone to bring there cars here.

TODAY I RECEIVED ANOTHER 5-STAR SERVICE REPAIR ON MY CAR. Make no mistake about it, finding a quality, friendly, trustworthy & affordable automotive shop in the Bay Area is extremely difficult. Yes, I could have taken my Escalade to other shops including the Cadillac dealership, but, QUALITY AUTO TUNE-UP does it RIGHT. They test drive my car after each repair and if they find other problems, they call me with and we discuss options to help me out. The service team at Quality Auto have set a superior standard for customer service & customer care. They are really reasonably priced, and other local dealerships & auto shops should really look, listen & learn. Auto repairs are so damn expensive and stressful, it really a great relief to know that I have a auto shop that would take care of my car without breaking my purse. It's OK to even supply your own parts, I love it. I think its great also they work with you to schedule your repair, so you are back on the road real soon. I Love it ! I would not say it if it wasn't true, everyone is friendly, attentive, and knowledge. JUST ALL AROUND GOOD PEOPLE. The customer lounge has been remodeled and is comfortable given a small space. I have always had a really positive experience with Quality Auto Tune Up. They have my business & referrals. Thanks again for raising the bar on auto service & customer care.
