I'm absolutely disgusted and disappointed as I'm writing these lines. This repair shop was my place to go for the past 5+ years. I had more than 10 services done at their shop. I always trusted them to be thorough and fair. I'm so sorry that this trust had to run out today. They charged me 330 for a car battery (part only - labor and tax were separate) that I later found out is retailed everywhere for 149, without informing me upfront, and tried to fool me with the 3-year warranty, which is already included by the manufacturer. Now I've begun thinking about how many more times they actually ripped me off, and I didn't find out. I'm escalating this matter to the BAR of California. I'll see what happens next. EDIT: I received a phone call from Mike the next day, offering store credit for my next service, as compensation for my dissatisfaction. I appeciated the gesture and accepted it, and hence changed the rating from 1 to 3 stars. Yet, from now on, I will be more vigilant and will ask for an invoice (including cost estimate, parts and the price per each, part numebrs, etc) everytime before conducting any non-routine repair and service.
Arman, thank you for updating your review and for taking the time to speak with Mike. We appreciate your loyalty over the past five years and are glad we had the opportunity to discuss your concerns directly. We understand the importance of transparency, and we encourage customers to ask questions about estimates, parts, and repair options so they can make informed decisions. While we may not always be the lowest priced option, we remain committed to using quality parts, standing behind our work, and providing professional service. We appreciate the opportunity to continue earning your trust and thank you for your candid feedback. Thanks, The Quality Tune-Up Car Care Team
