I have taken my car to Quality Tune-Up a few times and each time the service was great. I do most of my car's maintenance and repair by myself and when it is beyond my expertise then I take it to a shop. Therefore, compare to average people who know a little or none about cars, I know enough to tell the difference between a good and bad mechanic as well as honest and dishonest ones. Through my experience with this shop, I found Sukhi an excellent and honest mechanic who has gained my respect.

I've been going to Zach's Quality Tune-Up in Milpitas for 4-5 years, getting all 3 of our cars serviced. We mostly get oil changes and scheduled services performed there. (I avoid like the plague getting any $$ervice performed at a new-car dealer) Quality Tune-Up's work is at reasonable prices (way less than a dealership), and Zach has always given good advice re what work needs to be done, not always trying to "up-sell" to have more work (or more expensive work) done. I think he's a very honest man, which (at least stereotypically) is unusual in mechanics' shops. He has also been very good, when I've had a car problem that he can't address in his shop, at referring me out to another shop who could perform the work at a very reasonable rate. No, the shop does not have air conditioning in the waiting room (I can't believe that another reviewer expected that!). And yes, the waiting room can also be cool on early winter mornings. But there is a Starbucks and a Black Bear Diner just a block away, which are great places to go if you need to wait a while for service to be completed.

Been going here for the past 3 years since my last place I go to couldn't get my smog check completed. Zach is one of the nicest mechanics I've ever encountered. He's very patient and explains all the issues with easy understanding. I don't go anywhere else and only trust him with all my auto care issues with a great price too. Thank you Zach. I have been coming here for a few years now since I moved to Milpitas. I refuse to take my car anywhere else. Best service and the people here are great! I highly recommend this place for anything they can help you with.

I was helped right away, no waiting so that really impressed me. All the employees were very helpful. The time is took to get a smog check was very fast and efficient. Saw this place on Yelp, dropped my car off for an oil change at last minute while I was in a meeting nearby. Great service, a bit pricey, but they check out a lot of things best des oil change.

This place is the best! Victor helped provide a friendly, professional atmosphere while I was there. I recently came here because my car failed smog, and I needed to have an exhaust leak repaired to pass among other things. I dropped the car off at 8am, and received a call by the end of the day that the repairs had been completed. I drove the car for a bit and it sounded great! I brought the car back the following week, and it was able to pass smog. Thank you Quality Tune-up; and thank you Victor for all the help! Completely made my day.
