Called up and said how long... Said bring it in 20min. I asked if they would match midas' price of 20$ + tax and they matched. I walked next door and had some A&W rootbeer... Walked back and it was ready to go. @ 2:40pm on a Thursday and I didn't have to wait hours or make an appointment like MIDAS. 5 star service despite bad english.

Good people, who won't over charge you or find problems that never existed. Not exactly ready to work at opening time, which i believe is important since alot of auto labor is charged by the hour. But none the less, theyre worthy of doing business with.

Needed another one of those annoying smog check reports to finalize my car registration renewal so I looked up different shops and price checked and was happy to find that this shop was the cheapest of the ones I called. AAA Speedy smog (next to AAA on Saratoga) was about $68-69 Another place I called was $60 total I did see a location on Winchester & Dillion? for $29.95 but not sure what the grand total would be after fees. I would come here again and pay the difference from a cheaper place just for pure convenience. This location has a coupon for $34.95 + fees so total was $44.95 I scheduled appointment online (although they never called and I don't think you need to, since I actually missed my appointment time I told them I'd be in. Told them between 4:30-4:45). I ended up arriving around 5:30ish and looked like there was 2 other cars being worked on but they took me in right away and I was out 5minutes before 6pm. In & Out just the way I like it! Bonus: it was right across the street from Santana Row (Chilli's or back of Maggiano's side of Winchester & Olin corner). Open M-F 8-6pm/ Sat 8-5pm/ Sun 9:30-3:30pm I asked about oil change and found out it is about $24.99 but there might be some coupons online they would honor. Employees are friendly and nice, service and speediness is wonderful (when it's not busy). NOTE: there really is no waiting area other than one chair to the side, so don't expect a whole area for your leisure.

Lune, Oil, Filter, and Inspection for $25 out the door. Great price. I walked into Quality Tune Up yesterday and talked to Mike. I told him what I needed and he told me it would be about 30 minutes (I didn't have an appointment). I left my keys with him and read a magazine while I waited. 35 minutes later, I had my car and was driving away. During the inspection, Mike noted that my transmission fluid was burnt and should be replaced at some point. In October, my mechanic had told me to come in a replace my transmission fluid in December. I'll be back next time I need a simple servicing.

Came here on a late Tuesday morning for an oil change (lube, oil, filter, 19-pt inspection). Staff and mechanics were very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. They were done in 15 minutes and the price was right (I paid $20.43 without any coupons). Better yet, they didn't try to sell me any extra parts or services at the end. I Best of all, for you ladies, you can shop at Santana Row across the street while you wait!

I changed the oil here using a coupon printed online from their website. The total cost is $22. I also did the brake inspection. It took 2-3 extra hours, because they couldn't find a specific tool for my vehicle. Then they provided me a free ride from the shop to my home and from home back to the shop and $5 off for the brake inspection. The total experience is good. They are friendly and responsible. I also saw several returned customers to change their oil during the time I waited there. And the price is good. I would come back here next time when I need to change the oil again.

Needed to get an oil change before embarking on my 800 mile round trip adventure to Lake Elsinore to see my son over Labor Day weekend. Called Friday, August 27th to ask when they would close that evening. Mark said he was closing early. Called this last Friday, September 3rd, at 4:45pm and the employee who answered the phone said they would be closing at six. When I arrived at 5:10, Mark was closing up. I told him what his employee said, and he didn't seem to care much except to offer me the advice that "the guy on the corner will give you a good deal if you tell him I sent you." Not sure what corner he meant, because there aren't any lube shops at Fremont and Peralta. The closest one was at like Maple and Thornton (OIl Changers), and they wanted $40. I usually pay $26 at Quality. So much for a good deal. I'm so glad I live near Fremont again, after being away in Socal for two years. I've been taking mine and my parents' vehicles to Mark's shop for about 12 years now. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and does not take advantage of those who are mechanically challenged. I think he forgot my discount today, but I'll let that slide... since it was my first time there since moving back. ;) And a note to the ladies - I usually hoof it across the street and half a block down to the Beauty College for a Mani-Pedi while I'm waiting. Bring your own polish... the students do have their own, but being students, color selection may be limited.

The web coupon said if I made an appointment online, it'd save $3 off my oil change. I made the appointment (as specific as "this afternoon") and called to confirm if they had time for me. They quoted it would take a half hour. I brought it in shortly after noon and Mike welcomed me. When I got to the front desk however, I was told it would be an hour and a half wait..despite the previous phone quote and appointment. So I was on my way out as I had to get to work before their quoted finish time. Mike saw me leaving and asked why. He said they could fit me in before the other work and have me out in a half hour. The back and forth was annoying, but overall I think the work was done well. I was pleased that unlike most places I've taken my car for oil change, they actually look at the recommendations for my specific car (every five months, not three, and 5W-30, not 10W-30). However when I requested the 10W-30 oil, Mike listened and updated the order accordingly. I was in and out pretty quickly and felt heard by Mike. He wanted to make sure I was content with the service.

Chris is really personable mechanic. It was only 20 bucks for the oil change and 20 for my air filter. It only took him 15 minutes. Cheap and quick. Can't ask for more! It's right across the street from Santana Row so it was nice to walk across the street to grab some lunch and come back. Will be back here in 3K miles!

My dad uses this place for his car so I figured Id use the same place...and I have been for many years now. I'm always skeptical when I think about taking my car in for service. Ya know if you're a girl they probably automatically charge you extras for this and that cause you know, girls don't know anything about cars. I don't have any problems when I know its time for my car to be brought in. I check their website for any coupons and watch the mail for an specials. 2 days ago I had to get my car worked on. I brought it in as soon as the place opened. Right away I was greeted and they started the diagnostic test - automatic $100 there :0/ A few min later I am told whats wrong (cause my check engine light was on) and I had 4 issues that needed to be tended to. OK I said - now how much will that cost?? I asked how long it would take and that I had to pick up my so from school at 1. They said they could be done by 1 but I said no, don't rush. I so didn't want to spend all day in the waiting room of an auto shop so they offered me a ride home! I thought wow great! I was thinking I was going to have to walk home, boo. So George gave me a ride home and as soon as my car was done I would get a call. I don't know any shop that would give a customer a ride home while they worked on your car. So after my car was done, I paid (cringe) and used my internet coupon for $50 off. My car works great and now I'm not afraid to leave the city! Also he said if I have any issues to bring it back. Great shop and friendly people - do bring your car here (even if its for a simple oil change)!
