Both of the diesels were brought you failed, one you claim failed visual but you could not tell me how you based that. The other is a 2016 never blew a code but you claimed something wrong. Note we have wasted money two times and have to take them to a qualified diesel smog shop, when done I’ll expect a refund!!
Cindy, We are a STAR Certified Smog Check Station to test and repair gasoline and diesel vehicles. Your vehicles failed for readiness monitors. That means either your check engine light was cleared or your battery was disconnected very recently before your smog check. We do have a free retest within 30 days of your failed smog check, you only pay the $8.25 state certificate fee. Like we explained to you at the time of the service, you need to drive your vehicles to reset the readiness monitors. As soon as the monitors are ready you will pass your smog check at any smog station. Again you are eligible for the free retest at our station. I am not happy with the fact the number of issues was not resolved and I end up being overcharged for a job that could have been at least half the price that I could pay elsewhere and took three to four days for a small job that I thought was going to take one to two days the max. I checked them on Yelp, and they had over 800 four to five-star reviews, so I was very impressed with that many reviews, but this is the last time I make the decision to take my car based on Yelp or any other internet reviews. My humble 2 cents for everybody out there, don't go by online reviews; call first to get an estimate from several locations the best to find someone with who you can feel comfortable that you don't get charged for just looking at your car, I paid top dollars for diagnosis that they could not find any problem and yet charged me for it; the cooling fluid was only filled and I was charged ridiculous amount of money for just for filling it up; the worse decision I ever made to take my car to this location.
Mike, We are very disappointed to see this review. We actually performed a lot of work for you for a very good price under $700. We performed an oil change, belt replacement, coolant flush, heater hose replacement and diagnosed your coolant leak. We did not charge you for the stalling diagnosis you requested because we could not pinpoint the problem, even though we did spend a lot of time trying to find it.
