Arbitrary prices. Be careful on the first quote. Negotiate. The prices are substantially higher than other auto shops around and somewhat comparable to the car dealers. Labor prices: The quote $178/hr was noticeably higher than what's posted on the board behind the desk and other garage shops around. Google quotes $80/hr for small shops like this and $150/hr for dealerships. Walmart is $40/hr. Parts prices: "This is what the computer gives me" was the only response provided for the auto parts prices difference of more than twice of Amazon or Walmart. Delay: Also not sure why it takes 15 minutes to provide the quote on a basic service from an expert who's been working for more than 10 years? The ball park prices should be in their head. Far from transparent practice. Respectful and courteous: on a positive note, customers are apparently treated with respect.

This most recent visit was a routine oil change. Like other visits, they team there was quick, courteous and professional. But the reason they have earned my trust and repeat business is that on a prior visit, they pulled me aside to show me how worn my tires were (I did not come in for that, and would need to go somewhere else to get new tires). They were genuinely concerned for my safety and implored me to get new tires quickly. While I am sure that other places would have clinically told me that I needed new tires, they on the other hand led me around the car, showed me each tire, and pointed out where each tire was nearly tread bare. And kept looking at me to make sure that I understood in what bad shape the tires were in. It was clear they actually cared. That's why I will always go there for car repairs.

Sierra Way, Milpitas location. I had to take my RAV 4 back the next day, after an oil change, to have the oily hand prints cleaned off the drivers side door, door handle, hood, and inside the vehicle. The manager (no name on shirt) wiped off the marks and said "sorry". I'm not sure how many cars their mechanics "dirty up" a day changing fluids but I doubt mine was the only one. In my mind, at this particular location, management seems lax and rather ambivalent..
