Signs You Need a Wheel Alignment

Wheel alignments are an important service. Properly aligned wheels are essential to your ability to control your vehicle properly and to keep your car's direction straight. Although you've probably gotten a wheel alignment done in the past, you may not understand exactly when one is needed or how to tell that you are due.

Alignments are usually needed every couple of years or so, but it can depend upon a number of factors. Sometimes our vehicle's wheel alignment can be forced out of alignment much sooner than a regular alignment is needed. This can happen from a number of different things, such as hitting a curb or driving over a speed bump quickly.

If your vehicle is due for a wheel alignment, you may notice one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Car veers to one side
  • Trouble steering
  • Uneven or excessive tire wear
  • Squealing tires
  • Steering wheel is crooked

As soon as you notice any of the signs above, don't hesitate to bring your vehicle into our trusted auto repair shop. Driving with a bad wheel alignment can cause excessive damage to your tires and end up costing you hundreds on a new set.
