I got there when they opened, at 8:00. They told me 1-1.5 hours for an oil change and inspection. They didn't finish until 10:30 (2.5 hours) and didn't find any problems. But I knew there were problems: the air filters hadn't been replaced for 3 years, the TPMS was shot, and when I checked the tire pressure myself, it was about 80% of target. I don't mind it taking long, since they were understaffed that day, but that doesn't excuse giving such a bad estimate and cutting corners on the inspection. Hopefully they didn't miss anything important, like brake pads or tire treads.
Benjamin, thank you for your feedback and for coming in right at opening. We understand your concern about the time estimate and the scope of the inspection. During your visit, we performed an oil change service. That service includes fluid level checks, setting tire pressure to the manufacturer-recommended PSI, and visual inspections of lights and wiper blades. A detailed brake inspection is a separate service with an additional fee and is not included with a standard oil change. We also do not measure tire tread depth, as we do not sell or replace tires, but we do perform a general visual check for obvious wear concerns. Our technicians make recommendations based on visible condition and findings at the time of service. If something did not appear to require attention during the inspection, it would not have been recommended. We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention.
