I chose this shop based on its reviews and the service itself was straightforward with no upselling or unnecessary repairs recommended. However, I was very surprised by the pricing for a simple spark plug replacement on my 4-cylinder Honda Accord. The invoice was $275 for four NGK spark plugs plus $180 in labor. While I understand that shops mark up parts and labor, the parts pricing felt extremely excessive compared to the actual retail cost of these spark plugs. The work appears to have been done properly, but I left feeling that I paid far more than I should have for a routine maintenance item. I would strongly recommend getting a detailed quote and comparing prices with other local shops before agreeing to the work. So OVERPRICED 300%! Got ripped off. Unfortunately, this experience has made it definitely that I will not return for future service.
Jason, thank you for updating your review again. We’re glad you acknowledged that the work was performed properly and that our team provided straightforward service without upselling or recommending unnecessary repairs. We understand your concern about pricing, but respectfully disagree that you were “ripped off.” Purchasing parts at retail and installing them yourself will almost always cost less than professional service, just as buying ingredients and preparing a meal at home costs less than dining at a restaurant. Our pricing reflects not only the parts, but professional installation, technician expertise, operating costs, and our 12-month/12,000-mile warranty. Your price was presented and authorized before the work was performed, and we appreciate the opportunity to have serviced your Honda. Thanks, The Quality Tune-Up Car Care Team
