A decent place to take your car. I have only had an oil change but they were quick and fhelpful. Prices are normal range. I had george help me, he was very friendly. He reccommended the engine flush since I had waited way over 5000 miles after my previous oil change. He wanted me to go for the high milage oil since I was 45 miles away from hitting the big 100,000, but I just am not ready to admit my little honda is one of the old cars out there. I'd go there again.

Went there solely based on other Yelpers. I'm from Santa Cruz, and our tune-up places are pretty notorious for cheating you or doing subpar work. Got up early Saturday morning to get my tune-up and special for $159. I got there at 8:30. The guys were honest, and I had to get another alternator belt, but considering how many miles I'd put on my Sentra, it was worth the extra $80. They didn't pressure me into getting it, done, either, but I didn't want to bother coming back before check-up time. They said they'd be done in 90 minutes total, and before my second smoothie at Starbucks in Santana Row, I received a call at 10:00, saying they were done. I'll definitely bring my baby back to Quality Tune Up!

I found a used Camry that I was interested in buying and I took it here to get a pre-sale inspection. I'm fortunate that I did. I was expecting the mechanic and owner, Mark, to simply check out the car and give me a basic rundown of what the inspection turned up, but I ended up getting that and more. Mark apparently noticed that I was young, probably not very experienced in the used car market (an accurate observation), and he gave me his opinions and advice on buying cars--particularly in today's economy. I discovered that he's a very genuine and knowledgeable man. He really had my best interests in mind. I took his advice to heart and as a result I didn't buy the Camry. A wise decision, I believe. Now I'm just waiting for a better deal. Anyway, Quality Tune-Up Shops is a class act business. Very highly recommended.

I'd been reluctant to tell people about a good mechanic including a "Quality Tune" since most of them have a bad reputation. I'd been going to Rafael, Jorge and Sergio for a while, and was surprised to find a new team there. So gave them a shot with my Smog diagnostics. A day later I stop by to see what's up with my car. They had the intake all apart looking for a bad seal. In the end through superhuman diagnostic efforts and 2 whole days, my 24 year old car was passing smog better than ever so much so that I didn't need a new Catalytic converter every 2 years. Brilliant.

I highly recommend this Quality Tune Up branch because they gave me good customer service. They did an awesome job on tune up. I trusted them with my brand new 2008 Toyota Tacoma. Prices were very reasonable. I'm only taking my car this this one only. Hope this helps you readers out there!!

I like clean places when it comes to work. This place is clean. Tools in place, no crap lying around. Needed a brake check, smog check and spark plugs. Took them 1.5hrs, so i waited there. Friendly people. Recommend the place.

I read Janny T, and decided it was close enough to check out myself. Peter, a service manager/tech helped me quickly, was a great listener and even better, made me feel like I was dealing with an honest person. THere were BMW 745's and old honda's. These guys knew there stuff! I just left Toyota with a written estimate of 221 for a 'tuneup'. (I get them every 6-9 months and just had one) and I left this shop ... for 51. I don't make this up! they are sharp, helpful and quick. I went to Chili's had lunch, wait a bit more and my car was ready. Awesome. Jim

The first time I came here was last week because my boyfriend needed an oil change. We stopped here because of the location-which is directly across the street from Santana Row. After we dropped the car off, we walked to Santana Row and got a call in 30 minutes to say that the car was done. The mechanic told us the car needed a transmission flush, but didn't try to sell it to us. He said where ever we choose to have the service done-make sure we use certain fluids. The second time we went back was today for the transmission flush. It was as great as the first time. We dropped the car off...went for a walk..and got the car. We told the mechanic to check the brakes and he said we didn't need to change anything and that we had two more years on it. Great place.

I've had brakes, smog check and all oil changes done here. The service is great and they never try to tell you you need this or that when I get my oil changed. Every other place I have gone wants to replace everything but the transmission. One of the few places I still trust to go.

I have been going here for about 2 years now for a standard oil changes and maintenance checks and am very happy with the level of service and quality of the work. The men that work here are very quick and professional. I use coupons (available through the the Quality Tune Up website) many times and have even forgotten the coupon, but they still give me a discount. They tell you exactly how long it will take and will call you when it is done - unlike other auto care places where you end up waiting 1+ hours and you have to call them to ask when it is done. Bonus is that the waiting area is Santana Row! These guys are so great. Once I was driving and discovered I had a flat and quickly drove to the shop. I drove right up, told them I think I had a flat, they took off the tire and found that they couldn't do a patch on the inside of the tire and actually referred me to GoodYear around the corner, not before putting some air in and sending me on my way. I have so many other stories like that. They care about getting the job done. They are super busy on the weekends, so the weekdays are the best time to go.
