Silicon Valley Auto Repair

I recently moved to the area and needed an oil change. I called a couple other shops first, but none answered their phone. Quality Tune-Up answered and let me know I could stop in anytime that afternoon without an appointment. When I arrived the wait was a bit long because there were several other cars having similar services performed. No big deal -- that's to be expected when you don't have an appointment. My family and I took the time to walk across the street to Santana Row and grab a late lunch. After we got back, one of the technicians, Rich, offered to change my air filter. This, along with a tire rotation, is something I wanted done anyway, but I didn't originally ask for. Either way, Rich didn't make me feel pressured at all to have the additional services performed. He was very willing to perform the tire rotation as well. I thought the cost was extremely reasonable too. I was weary about going to any shop -- unsure about the staff and level of service that I would get, since I don't know too many people in the area to ask their opinion -- but Mike and Rich were awesome, and gained my trust. Rich was even kind enough to spend a little extra time removing my Pennsylvania inspection stickers from my windshield that I no longer needed. I'll definitely return to this shop for any future maintenance.

This review is soo past due. Lol I have been a loyal customer for over ten years now and honestly I cannot choose enough good words to describe this team. Not even one single bad experience in all these years and they took amazing care of my old Mercedes. They know me by my first name, and I never wasted my money here . Richard and Mike are like angels...very personable, friendly, knowledgable and did I say affordable?? They are always looking to help out and save you money regardless of your financial situation. They provide excellent customer service every day and will take care of you and your car without a question. I don't know of any other place in the area like this shop and would love to give them ten stars if I could. I am extremely happy with this place and I highly recommend them!

Cheap diagnostics, timely auto repair, friendly customer service... What else can be asked for?

Fast and affordable. I went in as a walk in and the main guy there was working on a car but finished quick then got mine done within 20min. Oil change $25. I did take my own filter as well.

These guy's are great! They will NOT try to sell you things you don't need, or pressure you to get anything fixed that doesn't need fixing. I usually speak with Rich or Mike. They are fast friendly, and do great work at a reasonable price. I recommend this place to everyone.

I've been coming here for about 4 years and 2 cars now and always get great service at low prices. Go here and see Rich he's great. These guys don't try to push services that you don't need. They will work to fit you in thier busy schedule. I highly recommend this place!

TOP KNOTCH SERVICE! Rich and his workers are completely understanding of the customer and always give the best price. They are down to earth and super friendly, I don't know why I waited this long to finally come here. If I could, i would give them 6 stars. They changed my intake and gave me a smog all within the hour. Super fast service and there was no doubt in my mind anything bad would happen. I came in without an appointment, and they accomodated my every need!!

Two years later...They're better than ever. I brought my car in, without an appointment, because it was leaking water like crazy. It turned out I needed the water pump replaced. They did it that day, even though it would take a long time, due to the fact I couldn't be without my car. The shop closes at 6pm but they kept working even after closing time so I could have my car fixed that day. Rich, who worked on my car, is one of the hardest working mechanics around. Being an excellent mechanic is important, which he is, but friendliness goes a long way with me as well. They are courteous and patient with everyone. I didn't have a coupon this time but what they charged me was so reasonable, it felt like I did have one. Many shops are in industrial areas where there's nothing around for miles. This shop is directly across the street from Santana Row, so hanging out at Santana Row or walking over to Valley Fair makes waiting for your car to be fixed a pleasure. Everyone should check this place out. You will be very happy if you did.

When I went in for my smog check this year, my car barely passed so I went in search for a reputable as well as a decently priced place to get a very much needed tune-up. After reading the various yelp reviews, I decided to use this Quality Tune-up Shop to get my car back into good running condition I printed out one of their coupons and proceeded over to the shop. They had a very positive and friendly way of greeting their customers. I told them I found them on Yelp and they were very happy about that. Though the cost was more than the coupon stated, I believe they charged accordingly as far as the actual job that was required to be done on my '95 Ford Aerostar. The whole job took them about 3 1/2 hrs. I decided to get lunch at Boudin Sourdough Bakery and Cafe, located at Valley Fair's food court. I had the Chicken Pesto Sandwich with a tossed green salad. It was absolutely delicious!!! But that's another review all together. When they called to say my car was ready I walked over there from Santana Row, where I had been window shopping. I paid the bill and drove my car home and was very pleased with its performance. I highly recommend Quality Tune-up Shop on Winchester for all your auto maintenance.
